Have you ever wondered what the "most affordable town in New Hampshire" is? According to a recent investigation, the answer can be found right here in the Upper Valley.
To reach this conclusion, Business Insider looked at towns with populations between 1,000 and 10,000 whose households spend no more than 30% of their annual income on housing costs. They also analyzed the average cost of three types of housing — owned houses with a mortgage, owned houses without a mortgage, and rentals — and took a weighted average of these by the proportion of each type of home in the town.
Business Insiders results showed that 87.5% of the Enfield, NH homes are affordable. They highlight Mascoma Lake, recreation opportunities, the new public library and the "FastRoad" Broadband network as positives for the town residents.
In addition to the benefits Business Insiders lists: Enfield NH offers an easy commute to local major employers such as Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Dartmouth College, Hypertherm, Creare, etc and easy access to all the Upper Valley has to offer.
