Vermont history is defined by its rural hill farms with majestic barns, modest homes, and bucolic land. Most have disappeared, so when you find one that is largely intact on 101 acres in West Newbury, you stop and take note. The original barn complex includes a 3-story post and beam bank barn, several storage sheds and well house. The bank barn received extensive structural repairs at some point in the past 50 years and continues to stand true today. South of the barn is the one-bedroom, one-bathroom, single-level homestead with brand new propane furnace, mechanicals, baseboard radiators, plumbing, tub & shower, faucet, bathroom tile, refurbished wood floors and fresh interior paint. The land itself is exceptional. Ranging in elevation from 1,200 - 1,400 feet, the topography is mostly gentile, ideally suited for recreation and agriculture with fertile soils, productive hay fields and mature woodlands.
