The New Hampshire Association of Realtors just released the 2016 Real Estate Market Report. It shows that NH Home sales and prices see substantial increases in 2016.
The 2016 residential housing market saw the largest number of annual home sales in NHAR’s tracking history (1998 to present) along with the highest median price since 2007.
Among the year-end highlights:
- The 17,567 residential home sales in 2016 represented an 8.7 percent increase over those sold in 2015 and the most in at least 18 years.
- The $249,500 median sales price for 2016 was a 3.3 percent increase over 2015 and the highest since New Hampshire homes sold for a median price of $260,800 in 2007.
- The volume of closed sales, meaning the total dollars spent on New Hampshire home sales in 2016, was 11.4 percent higher than the 2015 volume.
