The village center is anchored by the Town Green with the Lyme School and number of businesses surrounding it. The Lyme Country Store owned and operated by the Pippin family for the past 36 years is a community hub. Dowds Country Inn and The Lyme Inn offer lodging, and dining at Latham Tavern , Arianas , and Stellas complete the dining options on the Green. The Long River Gallery and Matt Brown Fine Arts are also located just off the Green.
As you approach Lyme from Hanover the iconic Nichols Tree farm is on the left just before Town. Leaving Town heading towards Orford you pass both Post Pond and the Loch Lyme Lodge . Lyme is also home to the Dartmouth Skiway where Lyme School kids can ski for free!
